Welcome to the Fourth and Fifth Grade Class! The teacher is Ms. Renee Johnson.
Ms. Johnson grew up near Traverse City, Michigan. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In college Ms. Johnson earned a double major in Religion and Sociology, as well as a minor in Social Sciences, while pursuing her goal of receiving a teachers certificate. She has been teaching since 1988, and loves being used as an instrument to educate God’s children. She feels blessed to be able to share her faith and love of God, as well as teaching the basics of an elementary education.
Ms. Johnson lives with her two schnauzer-mix dogs. She loves camping and travelling with friends, playing games, reading at church, and enjoying good books.
Ms. Johnson moved to The Tawas Area in 1992, when she joined Holy Family School and Church, (formerly St. Joseph). She loves being a part of this school and faith community.
Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 91 verse 11: “For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways.” As she reflects on that passage, she wonders, “Isn’t that a lovely thought to guide us throughout our day?”
